Professional paint correction in Chicago to remove scratches, swirl marks & oxidation for a flawless, showroom finish.
At Elite Luxe Auto Detailing, we specialize in professional paint correction in Chicago to bring back the depth, clarity, and shine of your vehicle’s paint. Our process safely removes swirls, scratches, oxidation, and paint defects, restoring your car to a showroom-quality finish. It will often look even better than the day you bought it—especially when protected with our ceramic coating service.
We achieve this by using a high-speed polisher combined with professional-grade pads and compounds, carefully selected based on the condition of your paint and the type of clear coat. Whether you need a one-step correction for light imperfections or a multi-stage correction for severe defects, our technicians deliver flawless results that last.
It’s important to know that if paint defects are left untreated or corrected improperly, they can cause long-term issues with the clear coat. In extreme cases, repainting may be the only solution. This is why it’s best to trust experienced professionals. We also provide Headlight Restoration that use the same precision approach to restore clarity and safety to your headlights.
When you choose Elite Luxe, our priority is preserving and enhancing your vehicle—not just removing every single scratch at any cost. We’d rather keep your paint healthy than risk thinning or damaging the clear coat. Every service is performed with the highest level of care to protect your investment.
Pricing is based on the size, condition, and type of clear coat. Here are general price ranges to get an idea of what we charge (note: price will vary car-to-car, even if it’s the same make and model).
The prices listed above cover a one-step paint correction, typically achieving a 50-80% improvement in your vehicle’s paint condition. For a higher level of perfection (80-95% or more), which involves a two-step paint correction process, please contact us for a customized quote.
Our goal is to deliver the best results we can to make you satisfied. Whether we’re removing a smoke odor from your interior, giving a thorough deep cleaning, or simple needing a light interior maintenance cleaning, our job is to produce amazing results.
If you want us to get your car show-ready and spend 20 hours detailing and polishing your paint, we can do that. If you need to prepare your vehicle for sale and would like us to do a light refresh on your paint and clean the engine bay, we can also take care of that for you. Sometimes you don’t even need to polish your vehicle and simply go with exterior detail.
And we’re a mobile-based detailing company so we come straight out to you! We service Chicago and surrounding areas like Glenview, Northbook, Wilmette, Winnetka and more.
If you don’t see your area above, don’t worry! We travel across the Chicago area. Give us a call or submit a form to see if we go to your area.

There’s two main levels of paint correction that we offer: a one-step polish and a two-step correction.
The one-step polish is a great option for vehicles that are in already good condition and need a light refresh to get the paint back up to standard. However, there are times, based on the condition and type of clear coat that your car has, to where even a one-step polish can produce incredible results on a heavily swirled vehicle.
Broadly speaking, we see a 50% to 80% swirl-removal with the one-step polish.
The two-step correction is the right choice for vehicles that are heavily swirled and want to restore the gloss and clarity to it. Typically, with this process, we need to get more aggressive to remove most of the swirls and scratches in your paint work. This is especially true when we’re working with vehicles that have a much harder clear coat.
The goal is to remove 80% to 95% of the imperfections from the clear coat.
It depends how deep the scratch is on your paint. If it hasn’t gone through the layers of paint on your car, then yes, we should be able to remove it. If the scratch is deep enough to have gone through all the layers of paint (primer, basecoat, clear coat), then we may only be able to reduce the scratch.
The two main factors to how long the service will take is based on the size of the vehicle and the condition of the paint. A heavily swirled Corolla will take longer than a well-taken care of Tundra simply due to the condition (even though the Tundra is much larger). A paint correction job can take between half a day to two days.
When done right, yes, paint correction is very safe. Before we put a polisher on your vehicle, we’ll first use a paint thickness gauge to read how much paint is on your vehicle and see what we’re working with. This will give us a good idea of how “hard” we can push on the panel.
If you want your car to stay swirl-free and glossy, then the main focus will be to properly maintain your vehicle after the service. That’s the key part. If you get your car polished and then the next day you take it through a $10 tunnel wash, you’ll have all the swirls and scratches back in your paint.
The biggest culprit to swirls and scratches in your paint is going to be through the washing and drying process. When you use a low quality wash mitt and drying towel, paired with improper techniques, you instill very light fine-scratches that end up looking like cobwebs over time when you look at your car’s paint in the sun.
